Parent class will teach effective discipline January 9, 2012

Fairgrove Family Resource Center's five-week parenting class will begin Thursday night.

Called 1-2-3 Magic, the class teaches effective discipline for children ages 2 to 12. The classes will be held from 6 to 7 each Thursday night at Fair Grove United Methodist Church at 204 Cedar Lodge Road in Thomasville.

The class will focus on discipline without arguing, yelling or spanking, how to control obnoxious behavior, how to encourage good behavior and more.

Free child care and dinner for parents and children are provided. There is no charge for the class. Advanced registration must be made by calling 472-7217. For more information, go to www.fgfrc.org.
