I will definitely recommend this service to other parents I meet. This service has been spectacular for my family.

I have enjoyed this class very much! I have learned so many things. I think this class should be a requirement for every parent or anyone becoming a parent.
This class has been an amazing experience for me because I learned so much of how to ensure a positive environment and to react calmly to situations with my boys! I love the experience I had in this class.
Parenting Wisely
Parenting Wisely is designed to facilitate the learning of necessary skills for the healthy well-balanced raising of children from age 3-18. This 7-week course is proven to reduce problem behaviors and increase communication and family unity. This interactive format provides nine different video enactments of typical family struggles, from teenagers playing loud music to trouble in school and more. After viewing the conflict, parents must choose from a list of options representing different levels of effectiveness. Each behavior is portrayed and then critiqued through an interactive question and answer session. The in-depth tutorials highlight the parenting skills depicted and give further insight into beneficial behavior.

Circle of Parents
Circle of Parents is a parent-led support group giving parents the chance to share the ups and downs of raising children. You are not alone. Other parents are going through or have been through the same things you are struggling over now. Connecting with other parents and sharing ideas will result in learning new ways to handle problems and situations. Parents reassure each other that their problems are neither unique nor insurmountable. You have the opportunity to provide help to others as well as receive help yourself. Parents share their problem-solving skills and learn new ways to handle stress and avoid impulsive reactions. This shared knowledge can help you avoid situations and pitfalls before they happen. The result is feeling more confident in yourself and your parenting abilities. Your family will be able to relax and enjoy each other more.
Pre-registration is required to attend. FREE child care and dinner is provided. Group meets every Thursday at 6:45, meal at 6:00. For more information, call Julie Stevens at 472-7217.
